he Philadelphia Psychiatric Society (PPS) comprises over 950 psychiatrists practicing in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties.
 I ts staff and membership are dedicated to assisting its members and working on behalf of their interests and those of the patients they serve. PPS is a chapter of the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, a district branch of the American Psychiatric Association.

This web site has been designed to serve members of the Philadelphia Psychiatric Society, as well individuals seeking mental health information or resources.

ur Mission
The Philadelphia Psychiatric Society is an organization of psychiatrists in southeastern Pennsylvania that:
  • Advocates for its members and their patients.
  • Promotes access to and implementation of the highest quality in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric disorders - including substance abuse - for patients and their families.
  • Sustains, enhances, and promotes psychiatric leadership in the provision of mental health services.
  • Supports the professional development and practice needs of its members.
  • Meets its goals by working in concert with its district branch, the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society, and its national organization, the American Psychiatric Association.

The Philadelphia Psychiatric Society is the voice of psychiatry in the region, promoting humane, accessible, quality prevention and treatment of psychiatric diseases.
